There are so many different styles of bath on the market today that it can be a tad confusing when choosing a new one.

 The most common bath, the one we’re all familiar with is the acrylic bath with side panels, however, in recent years there has been a realization that not everybody wants the standard bath – indeed the standard bath won’t fit in everybody’s bathroom!

Choose from traditional roll-top baths, corner baths, inset baths and circular baths and think not just in terms of looks but also of fit and functionality.  A couple of specific technical thoughts for you: 

• A large bath full of water is very heavy, will your bathroom floor withstand the load?
• Would you be able to afford the hot water needed to fill a very large bath?
•  If you take a lot of baths, i.e. if it will get a great deal of usage, you will need one that is constructed with thick material (which usually equates to a more expensive bath)
• Think about your plumbing – how accessible is it?
