Small Baths – Ideal For The Smaller Bathroom
There’s no doubt about it, bathrooms are a shrinking commodity and small baths can seem hard to come by. At Great Bathroom Ideas we have specifically scoured the market for smaller sized baths so that you don’t have to. In doing so, we’ve proved, to ourselves at least, that there is a definite gap in the bath market for more compact bathroom furniture.
It’s a well-documented fact that corner baths take up less space than traditional baths but some of today’s bathrooms are too small even for those. Which is why we are delighted to bring you the Macaw Corner Bath with its neat 1500mm x 1000mm dimensions. This bath also comes with a seat area for extra comfort.
The smallest bath we could find is the Gem Small Bath, which comes in at an efficient 1200mm x 700mm. This shorter length is gained by omitting the traditional tap ledge at the top of the bath, which means that the bath is every bit as comfortable as a traditionally sized model. Taps will need to be wall-mounted or mounted on the corner of the bath.
If cost is an issue, we recommend the 1500mm long acrylic bath, which, at less than £150, even comes complete with the side panel.
If you thought your bathroom was too small for a bath, the selection of smaller baths at Great Bathroom Ideas will make you think again.
Bathroom Vanity Lights Explained
Bathroom vanity lights are a luxury for many people, and they’re something that easily warm up a bathroom and add a delicate touch to the vanity area in any bathroom.
Things that people do in vanity areas include things like makeup application, hair combing, and other personal grooming with respect to the face. Anyone doing something like this will want to ensure that they can see everything going on around them and proper bathroom vanity lights can make this happen.
If you’ve never bought these before, you may be wondering how you should go about finding the best set of bathroom vanity lights. With a little help, you’ll be just fine.
One common mistake that you’ll want to avoid is knowing what your vanity setup looks like before buying your bathroom vanity lights. Do you already have bathroom light fixtures in place or do you need these?
You’ll also notice that bathroom vanity lights come in a ton of different shapes, sizes, colors, and other varieties. This is where your personal taste might come into play since you’ll want something that fits the mood of your bathroom.
Know the measurements of your space too. If you get something that’s too low, you’ll end up with ineffective bathroom vanity lights. Many people make this mistake. Don’t be that person.
You’ll also want to make sure that you get something affordable. This is by no means a necessity, but an extra treat you may buy yourself when designing your bathroom. As a means of conserving costs, you can find them for as low as about fifty dollars, but be prepared to pend more for nicer units.
The best suggested course of action is to browse as many deals as you can on the web, as some great deals can usually be found.
Freestanding Baths – Create Some Bathroom Glamour
To the majority of folk, the term ‘freestanding bath’ is interchangeable with ‘roll top bath; if only things were that simple! The fact is, there’s a free standing bath designed to fit in with any décor, from traditional claw-foot, roll top styles to ultra-modern design.
If you’re short on space, look for a bath that is 1400mm in length, rather than the regular 1700mm. Some slipper baths fulfil these criteria. Our Balterley Vista 1545×735 Slipper Bath is slightly longer at 1545mm x 735mm but this might just be enough to make the difference between can fit and can’t fit. There are plenty of shorter baths in our dedicated small bath category.
For something in the uber-elegant category, what about the Laufen Il Bagno Alessi Freestanding Bath? Designed to appeal to all your senses, this wonderfully curvaceous design will transform a humble bathroom into a stylish sanctuary.
If art-deco is more your style, the Phoenix Plato Freestanding Bath has the requisite straight lines and angles; a long-sided hexagon with a 180 litre capacity. Just made for a comfortable, deep bath with somewhere to rest your back!
With four pages of freestanding baths to choose from, we can’t possibly describe them all here – you’ll just have to take a look at Great Bathroom Ideas.
